The very popular Camino De Santiago is the destination for one of the most exciting fundraisers run by ISPCC Childline this year. Why not tick another trip off the bucket list and raise awareness and vital funds for Childline this September?

The Camino walk itself is perhaps the most famous walk in the world. Although the Camino is a large network of pilgrim routes, many undertake the walk for a number of other reasons including a chance to view the local scenery and an opportunity for peace and solace. The French Way, which the ISPCC will be walking, is the most popular of the routes of the Way of St James and features in many documentaries, books and movies, including Martin Sheen’s The Way.

And walking the Camino is for a very good cause! The ISPCC is Ireland’s national child protection charity. It provides a range of services to children and young people and their families. Every year, its Childline service receives over 400,000 contacts from children through its phone, text and online services. The Childline phone service is available 24 hours a day, for any child who needs to talk. The ISPCC also provides childhood support and mentoring services directly to children. The ISPCC also provides the Missing Children’s Helpline in Ireland.
