The Scarecrows have landed in Central Library

Fresh from the Durrow Scarecrow Festival, nineteen funny, fantastic and fabulous scarecrow creations are visiting The Waterford Europe Direct Information Centre (EDIC) at Central Library during the City's Harvest Festival. The scarecrows have been very kindly loaned to the EDIC by the committee of the Durrow Scarecrow Festival.
Scarecrows from every part of the country are on show. The standard of workmanship involved in making the scarecrows has to be seen to be believed and the humorous and imaginative use of current topical themes, not to mention old reliables like will be of interest to young and old alike.
On display is the overall winner from Durrow The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe made by Luke Dunne, Nellie – The Wallflower, Ear to the Ground, Crow Bar, Mr. Original Scarecrow, Scary Crow and much more.
So come along to Central Library, Lady Lane if you want to be dazzled by the best selection of scarecrows in Ireland. The scarecrows can be viewed from 10th – 15th September during library opening hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am-5:30am, Wednesday 10am-8pm and Saturday 10am-1pm and 2pm-5:30pm.
