Waterford’s First Marathon a Runaway Success

Saturday last was a proud and emotional day for Waterford’s ever increasing athletic community as the first ever ‘Waterfod Viking Marathon’ travelled through this beautiful city and county with over 2,000 participants at the start line outside the iconic House of Waterford Crystal. The energy was beyond electric as Waterford’s native, Silver Olympic Marathon Medallist John Treacy commenced the race and set runners on their way.
