Eddie Rockett's Diner on the Cork Road has been open now for 6 years and for manager Sharon Kiely its clear why they have proved to be such a success with Waterford people. Talking about Eddie Rockett's she says "its a unique place, a 1950's style American Diner that has such a great atmosphere and naturally we've got great food that is affordable." Expanding about the different types of customers that they have in Eddie Rockett's Sharon says "as a mum myself I know how hard it can be to please everyone but with Eddie Rockett's there is a wide choice of food that will suit all tastes. Also the diner is very well thought out with great leather booths as well as Seeburg 1950's jukeboxes that are all working and where you can pick out your favourite songs. Eddie Rockett's attracts a wide cross section of the community and is very popular with families on the weekends where we have special deals where a family of two adults and two children can avail of our family special for €25." Sharon also goes on to say that because of its location on the Cork Road Eddie Rockett's is very popular with students and they even have special deals for them where you can get 2 hamburgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks for €13 which is amazingly good value. Sharon Kiely says that she along with the 10 staff that work in Eddie Rockett's are very proud of the great quality of the food that they serve. She explains "all the hamburgers are 100% Irish Beef and they are a full third of a pound fresh meat and never frozen.

It is always quality food. In July of 2011 we introduced an addition to our menu where we have Red Basket Specials of a new menu with lower price points of €6.50 and that in including fries and a drink. We are all about quality menus at affordable prices. Sharon Kiely has worked in Eddie Rockett's since it opened and before that she worked in the Little Chef which was in the same location. She fully appreciates what it takes to make Eddie Rockett's so special and she is unstinting in the praise of her staff, "the staff that we have here is the best of local talent, they really are the best and really go that extra mile to ensure that everyone has a really good time there at Eddie Rockett's."
