Help clean your favourite beach on the Ring peninsula next Saturday
A clean up of the beaches on the Ring peninsula is scheduled for Saturday May 12th from 2 to 4pm as part of Clean Coasts Week. Suitable for all ages, this free outdoor activity is a great way to do one’s bit for the environment while enjoying the splendid coastal scenery in the beautiful Co Waterford Gaeltacht.
The meeting points are: The Cunningar car park; Baile na nGall Pier; Helvick Pier car park, Poll a Phúca. Bags and gloves will be provided but please bring your own pickers, if you wish.
Organised by Coiste Maisithe na Rinne - Ring Peninsula Community Group in conjunction with the Environment Section of Waterford Co Council and An Taisce Clean Coasts Week, there are over 100 people of all ages expected to take part including parents with toddlers and babies in buggies. A great informal way to meet new people and everybody gets a little treat as a gesture of appreciation.
