Peugeot launches New Partner Van Range

The new Peugeot Partner van will be launched in Ireland this April. Sporting a new front face, redesigned headlamps and the new Lion badge on the bonnet and equipped with the latest HDi diesel engines, the new Peugeot Partner van will retail from €16,075 plus dealer delivery related charges or from €13,107 ex-vat.

The new Peugeot Partner van, available in 2 versions – Access and Active – is the first in the light commercial vehicle range to incorporate the new Peugeot style codes already revealed on the new Peugeot 508 and the forthcoming 208 passenger cars. Matched to its new, fresh and modern exterior, a new trim is offered for the interior.

The new-look Partner is available in 2 lengths (L1: 4.38m or L2: 4.63m) and offers loading volumes among the best in its segment. The standard version has a capacity of 3.3m3, a payload of 625 or 850kg and a loading length of 1.80m. The long body special order version offers a volume of 3.7m3, a payload of 750kg and a length of 2.05m. In both cases, the vehicle accommodates two euro pallets (1.20m x 0.80m). The rear can be accessed by means of one or two sliding side doors and two hinged rear doors. A multi-flex bench seat, standard in the Active trim, allows 3 occupants to be seated in the front. When the bench seat is partly retracted, loading capacity is increased by 400 litres.

In terms of safety the new Partner benefits from a structure with three force channels at the front, the availability of the ESP and up to 4airbags. In addition to the variable speed limiter/cruise control, a speed governor is now offered as an option and it can be configured to one of 4 pre-set speeds (90, 100, 110 or 130km/h), as selected by the customer.

The Pseudo MacPherson suspension at the front and deformable cross-member at the rear, developed using the full extent of Peugeot's expertise, ensures excellent handling.

An optional Grip Control pack noticeably improves traction to allow driversto move more easily on roads, work sites or tracks where traditional 2-wheel vehicles could become stuck. It offers 4 driving modes (Sand, Snow, Mud, ESP), which can be selected using a dial on the dashboard. Alternatively, instead of Grip Control, the new Partner can be equipped with a Work Site Pack, comprising a ground clearance raised by 10mm and special 195/70 R15 tyres. A protective panel under the engine protects the underframe.

Accessories for the new Partner range include new towbars and non-slip wooden coverings for optimum protection of the loading area.

The latest generation Euro 5 engines are offered with the new Partner, to include the popular 1.6 HDi 75bhp version and a 1.6 HDi 90bhp version. A 1.6 eHDi 90bhp Stop & Start version will offer best-in-class CO2 emissions in the segment (123g/km and 4.7 l/100km – 60.1mpg).

The new Partner will be produced at the Vigo site in Spain and is now on sale in Ireland this month.
