Nearly 40 arrests over long weekend

A total of 39 bank holiday weekend arrests were made by Waterford Gardai with the vast majority being detained for public order offences.
There were a total of 35 public order arrests over the Patrick's Day Weekend, according to Waterford Gardai.
Among the 35 arrests, 15 of these occurred between the morning of St. Patrick's Day and the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Waterford Gardai also made four arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol over the weekend.
