UPMC Beacon Hospital launched Ireland’s first hospital patient and visitor app recently and Leinster and Ireland rugby player, Jonathan Sexton was on hand to do the honours. UPMC operates a satellite clinic, UPMC Beacon Waterford in Ardkeen, and the app may prove particularly useful for any patients coming from County Waterford for treatment at the hospital. The app provides users with fingertip access to many of the services available at the hospital, including a 'Find a Consultant’ feature and an innovative 'Appointment Tracker’. The app is free to download from the App Store.
