Presentation of EQUASS certificate to National Learning Network Waterford
Michael O’Sullivan, Regional Director, National Learning Network presenting Kitty Galvin, Area Manager, National Learning Network in Waterford with the EQUASS Excellence award - a European quality award for organisations providing social services. Services delivered by National Learning Network, Rehab’s training and employment division, have become the first in Ireland to be awarded the EQUASS or the European Quality in Social Services Excellence award which is used as a reference for social services legislation in several European countries.
National Learning Network received the EQUASS Excellence Award following a national assessment of its services and processes. The assessments involved external audit and benchmarking with site visits by independent and qualified international assessors. EQUASS sets out a framework for social services that are person-centred with an approach that focuses on quality, excellence and best practice, and organisations receiving EQUASS Excellence can be considered Centres of Excellence.
