Taoiseach joins in Waterford Fund Raiser

An Taoiseach Enda Kenny last Sunday was in Dungarvan to take part in the annual Sean Kelly Tour. In full cycling regalia the Taoiseach was joined by a crowd of an estimated eight thousand cyclists of all different shapes and sizes to take part in various legs of the Sean Kelly Tour. Enda Kenny praised everyone who took part in the race and spoke of his admiration for Sean Kelly and his courage and determination which he has shown down through the years. The Tour is the brainchild of the former world cycling number one and has drawn ever bigger numbers since it first started a number of years ago. This year saw its biggest ever turn out. The Sean Kelly Tour is supported by the Waterford County Council as well as the Waterford Sports Partnership. Sunday's event was joined by Olympic silver medallist and double cross country champion John Treacy another local who has been the chairman of the Irish Sports Council for several years now.
