Waterford Walls still standing strong!

Following the misfortunate incident in June where over €6000 worth of equipment and paint was stolen from their premises, the Waterford Walls team continue with their efforts to replace this equipment to get ready for their festival coming in August (17th-26th).

On Thursday, July 19th, they are holding their next fundraiser event. This is a quirky and interesting guided cycle art trail of the Waterford Walls artwork on the Waterford Greenway.

The journey starts at Kilmacthomas at 5pm where you bring your own bike or you can hire a bike at the Greenway bike hire shop.

A Waterford Walls guide will bring you to see 4 pieces of artwork done by our artists and give you some interesting information on both the artists and the motivation behind the pieces.

A bus then collects the bike hire cyclists and brings you into Waterford City where it stops at the beginning of the Greenway to show you the final official Greenway piece.

The evening will then finish off at Tully's Bar in O'Connell Street where there will be live music from 8pm.

Speaking on behalf of Waterford Walls, Edel tobin said "This fundraising initiative is a great call to action. People have been so supportive since they heard of our misfortune.

"This is the third event we have held and we have to give a big shout to organisations such as the Waterford Lions Club who have given money to help us replace our equipment."

The information and background that each of the stall holders were able to give on the provenance of their food was really interesting an …
