2011 Special Olympics Ireland Collection Day

Special Olympics' collection day, sponsored by eircom will take place throughout Ireland on Friday April 15th.
This is our biggest annual fundraising event and is essential to ensuring the ongoing sustainability and growth of our programme of sport for people with an intellectual disability throughout Ireland.
There are currently 11,000 athletes involved in Special Olympics activities in Ireland. This year Ireland 126 athletes from all over the country will represent Ireland at the 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens in June. Collection Day is the biggest annual fundraising event in aid of Special Olympics Ireland and we need 3,500 volunteers to help us collect on the day.

Google AlertWhen a company which has it's European Headquarters here in Ireland is called 'evil' and 'immoral' by M.P.s in The House of Commons you tend to sit up and take notice.
