Labour Party Housing spokesperson Jan O'Sullivan will attend a public meeting on the housing crisis in Waterford in the Parlour Vintage Tea Rooms, Georges Street on Thursday 16th November at 7.30pm.This event is being organised by Labour Party Local Area Rep Seamus Ryan and the Waterford South Branch of the Labour Party and is open to all.

Jan O'Sullivan is a former Minister for Education and the current Labour Party spokesperson on Housing and Local Government.

Labour Party Area Rep for Waterford South Seamus Ryan said that they are delighted that Jan O'Sullivan has been able to accept our invitation to come to Waterford. Jan has been to the forefront of campaigning for additional public and affordable housing in Ireland.

Speaking prior to the meeting Jan O'Sullivan said, "Waterford has been excluded for the Rent Pressure Zones which means that people who have to rent privately in the City can have their rent hiked up with no limits while those who live in other cities like Dublin, Cork and Galway are protected with limits of no more than 4% per annum, the people of Waterford should have the same protection.
