Submissions sought on North Quays Draft Planning Scheme

Waterford City and County Council are seeking written

observations or submissions on the North Quays Draft

Planning Scheme which is currently on public display.

Waterford City and County Council is specified as the Development Agency for the purposes of the Planning Scheme under the Strategic Development Zone in accordance with Part IX Section 166(3) of the Act. The area in question on the North Quays comprises approximately 8.23 Hectares, and are deemed to be of economic and social importance importance to the state.

As the designated Agency, Waterford City and County Council has prepared a Draft Development Scheme. It consists of a written statement and plans indicating the type and extent of the development to be permitted on the North Quays DSZ, together with proposals relating to the overall design of the development, transportation, the provision of services, the minimisation of any adverse impacts on the environment and the provision of amenities, facilities and services for the community. It is accompanied by an Environmental Report and a Natura Impact Report.

These draft plans are available for inspection during normal office hours from 18th October to Thursday 30th November 2017 inclusive at the following venues:

- Waterford City & County Council, Customers Service Desk, Baileys New Street, Waterford City.

- Waterford City & County Council, Customer Service Desk, Civic Offices, Davitts Quay, Dungarvan.

- Kilkenny County Council Area Office, Ferrybank, Co. Kileknny.

- Central Library, Lady Lane, Waterford.

Interested parties may make written observersations or submissions on the Draft Plans before Thursday, 30th November 2017.

This process is an open and public one.
