A six week course of Mindfulness Meditation takes place from Wednesday November 1st, to December 6th, at 8.15 - 9.15pm at Anjali Yoga Waterford, Tyrone Road, Lismore Park.

Facilitated by Michael Dalton, Core Process Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Mindfulness Meditation teacher, the course aims to help participants to learn to cultivate attention and awareness in their daily lives. Michael, a well respected local-meditation teacher, teaches mindful, compassion based meditation for beginners and more experienced meditators in groups and on a one-to-one basis.

What is Mindfulness?

According to Practical Mindfulness, A Step by Step Guide, by Ken A. Verni, Psy.D., Mindfulness is a practice of purposefully

paying attention in the present moment and bringing a non-judgmental compassionate awareness to the nature of things. Practised regularly Mindfulness changes your sense of who your are in relation to your own life and to other people.
