Mint Women's-only Triathlon

Waterford Triathlon Club will be holding a 2nd Triathlon race this year in Dunmore East with the inaugural Mint Women's Only Triathlon being held on Saturday 1st September. We will be using the same course as that for Hook or by Crook with the 750m swim starting at Strand beach and after swimming out in a triangular direction, will finish at Councillors beach. The 20k cycle is an out and back route towards Waterford with the 7k run taking in Killea hill at the start, coming out onto the main Waterford road and finishing at the park in Dunmore East. This will be the first time a Women's only triathlon will be held in Ireland and it will be a great opportunity for ladies, those experienced and new to the sport, to participate in a more relaxed race environment. Race entry is open for individuals and teams through a link on our website http://http://www.waterford-triathlon.com as can all race details.

For anyone who is looking for more experience in open water swimming, we swim every Monday evening from Councillors beach at 6.30pm. There is also a swim every Wednesday evening 6.30pm at Councillors aimed specifically towards ladies training for this race. People are welcome to come along to any of these training groups.
