Nans Freedom left it late
An eight race card last Friday night featured the final of the Track Supporters Club A6/A7 sweepstake. As expected the 1/1 favourite Pookies Paddy (formerly known as Ath Cliath Paddy) made a bold bid to make all the running in the final. The Mary Whittle-owned Nans Freedom (Crash-Nans Elsa) 5/2 proved a constant threat to the favourite however. Striking the front off the home turn 'Nans' did well himself to hold the late charge of Maggies Queen who went down with all guns blazing by a neck in 29.35.
