The 35 Marathon Man

The 35 Marathon Man, Final Run is the Waterford Viking Marathon.
Waterford-man Alan Corcoran, has embarked on a 'lap of Ireland' which started Sunday, May 27th running 26.2 miles every day until June 30th.
And keep going Alan must, for a gruelling 35 days, covering the entire lap of the country and taking in 917 miles of pavement pounding sweat, blood and maybe tears.
Finishing one marathon is enough for many, but by the time Alan crosses the line of his 35th, he expects to be ecstatic. And despite the other 34 being lonely road runs (apart from a team of two) taking in the counties from Wicklow, Wexford, Dublin, Donegal and Galway, his final run on June 30th incorporates the very first Waterford Viking Marathon. Timely for the Deise man, and a great event for a city that continues to grow.
The crowd will cheer home every runner of the Waterford Viking marathon, but expect to hear a wild roar when this Viking warrior crosses the line.
