In other news in Corkagh Park last weekend our young rider Cian O'Keeffee from Tramore took first place in an U12 race, the race was held on a 1.5km track in Corkagh Park in Dublin, Cian who had mechanical trouble at the start, missed the break but rode his heart out, catching the breakaway group and a lone rider which had gone off the front to finish well ahead of the field. Our neighbours in New Ross held the Barrowwheelers Grand Prix last weekend, with over 150 riders on a tough hilly circuit and 25 degree heat. Our riders found the going tough, a couple of riders withdrew from the event but Finbarr Power our A3 rider had the ride of his life, involved in many of the main moves of the day, Trevor Robinson was 7th just outside of the prizes, other riders involved were Thomas Lavery, Eoin Maher, Mick Fanning, Gary Robinson & Conor Trihy. Over the bank holiday weekend we have two riders participating in the Ras Donegal a three day event based around the beautiful area of the Glenties, full race report and photos can be seen on our website.

In our Leisure section a group of 7 Comeragh ridersand 2 Sportif Waterford cc riders traveled to the Saint Savin in the Pyrenees in France, over the week. They took in some of the hardest climbs which will part of this years Tour de France, Col De Soulor, Hautacam and the big one the Col de Tourmalet, this is an 18km climb which has a 9% gradient with the final 2km at 18% the 18km taking the riders over 2 hrs to complete, well done for Flying the Comeragh colours in France.
