Lady Captain's Prize at Waterford GC

Wednesday, 22nd June 2011

Sunday morning last, Lady Captains Day dawned to atrocious weather conditions. Our sporting Lady Capt quickly took control texting everybody with hourly updates to the call "IS FEIDER LINN." Finally with improving weather conditions the call went out for a 2.30pm. shotgun start. This proved an excellent choice. Scoring was difficult but our dentist Susan O Hara proved that she could handle the conditions by winning with a great score of 44 points. There was a wonderful array of prizes on offer, Captain Sandra thanked all who assisted her with a special word for her family for their support and of course the competitors who made the day such a success. After the presentation a great night of craic and ceol went on into the a m. A wonderful day ..well done Sandra you deserve it.

Tuesday competition sponsored by Kellys The Quay saw a great turnout. We thank them for their continued support

We have all been told, if we haven't already experienced at first hand, the beauty of the location. We know about the exclusiveness of the hotels that the various leaders are going to be staying as well as some of their security detail. We know about the menus from which they will be choosing from. There is little about summit meeting that the …
