Barr wins in Slovakia

Olympian Thomas Barr had his first win of the season on the European Circuit last Friday evening in an International 400 metres hurdles race in Samarin, Slovakia.Thomas won in a time of 49.40 seconds, Jordin Andrade Cape Verde was second in 49.64 and Roux Hamman Le Roux South Africa was third in 50.32. he next runs in Lucerne in Switzerland on Monday next July 9 th

Jake's double in Estonian Championships

Last week Jake Bagge Ferrrybank competed ih the Estonian under 18 championships and had a fine double winning the 1500 metres on Thursday in 4minutes 13 seconds and then on Friday did likewise in the 800 metres in 1.58 seconds.He declared for Estonia the country his mother is a native of and this week in Hungary at the European under 18 Championships he will represent Estonia in the 1500 metres and 800 metres under 18.

Junior and under 23 All Ireland titles

In Tulamore on Saturday last a small number of athletes from Waterford AC,West Waterford AC and Tramore AC competed in the All Ireland junior and under 23 Championships and all three clubs had athletes among the medals. For Waterford AC in particular it was a very successful day with four titles being won by their athletes, two junior and two under 23.
