Cookbook in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for 'Best in the World 2012'

Let's Go Disco has just been nominated in the Best Chef Cookbook category of the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for

'Best in the World 2012', with the awards ceremony where the final announcement will be made taking place next February.

A beautiful production documenting Martijn Kajuiter, the Michelin starred chef of The Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore, his team and the food they produce, Let's Go Disco is a book complete with 36 dishes, 200 gorgeous photographs, informative essays and interviews and an extensive behind the scenes look at the life of this high intensity, high performance kitchen.

With a foreword by Derek Bulmer, former editor of the Great Britain & Ireland Michelin Guide, who calls The House restaurant "one of the finest places to eat in Ireland and Martijn one of the most exciting chefs cooking in the Republic today" and with contributions from Martijn Kajuiter and each of his chefs as well as core text by journalist Alex Meehan, the book is designed by Red&Grey Design with photography by well-known Waterford photographer Shane O'Neill.

Between November 15, 2011 and November 15, 2012 a total of 171 countries participated in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. The shortlisted nominees in each category were announced on December 5, 2012, and these winners from 105 countries qualify for the 'Best in the World' competition, thanks to the quality of their books, with 389 finalists from 86 countries in total.

There are just five books shortlisted in the Best Chef Cookbook category, and the winners of all the categories will be announced at a gala event under the Pyramid at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, on Saturday February 23, 2013 during the world-renowned Paris Cookbook Fair.

Let's Go Disco – sophisticated, enjoyable and, above all, fun – is priced at €45, and is available from both the Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore, Waterford, and from the Cliff Townhouse on Dublin's St Stephen's Green, online from http://www.thecliffhousehotel.com

It is also available to purchase in Reader's Choice Dungarvan, Eason's Dungarvan and in The Book Centre Waterford.
