Aries: March 21 – April 20

Sometimes it is not about planning about where you are going, but rather about looking back and reflecting on this very week last year. Look in your diary (if you keep one) and discover what repeating pattern occurs in your life every year at this time. You might also check this year's diary to make sure that you haven't double booked a particular moment, and find yourself needing to be in two places at the same time.

Taurus: April 21 – May 21

In the old days they used to say; that if the medicine didn't taste awful, then it wasn't doing you any good. Nowadays, I suppose they say; that the pain is worth the gain. And perhaps you can reflect on that as a seemingly negative situation will actually prove to be the catalyst that creates growth and glory for you. You might also find reasons, as the longest day of the year passes, and we enter high summer, there are reasons for the celebration of this special season.

Gemini: May 22 – June 21

Individually we tend to be weak and maybe ineffective, but when the chips are down and the group comes together to act and work for a common purpose then, by moving in consort, you can change the world. So, if there are things in life that need to be changed, whether locally or nationally, think of coming together so that all your small voices become a roar that will alter the world in which you live.

Cancer: June 22 – July 22

Find your ease and peace within the hub-bub of your busy life, learn to relax and find time to watch the world go by. Discover that it is not just about rushing hither and thither in a futile attempt to get EVERYTHING done – for in your silences you will find the very things you were seeking, but which were obscured by chaos of your existence. Learn to prioritise, and take life small step, by small step, and achieve your goals a bit at a time.

Leo: July 23 – August 23

To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose, sewing, reaping, coming and going, loving and leaving. And this moment in high summer is when you look at your place in the scheme of things and wonder whether this is a time for moving on. It does not have to be of course, but it is certainly a time, perhaps, to read the quote in the bible that I have paraphrased here, and discover exactly which 'TIME' is appropriate for your life and act accordingly as we move into the second part of a challenging, but ultimately forward moving year.

Virgo: August 24 – Sep 23

I love the old song about building a stairway to paradise with a new step every day. For that is what your life is all about at the moment – all those steps taking you closer and closer to your ultimate goal – and in a way you can see one of those goals emerging as you move inexorably upwards. But oddly, it seems to be more like a door that opens up into an even brighter tomorrow than you could possibly have imagined.

Libra: Sept 24th Oct 23

One of the saddest aspects of life, is that very often, the things we wished we had said to other folk only come to light when the moment for speaking those truths has passed. So why not make a point this week, of actually letting everybody know those special complimentary thoughts you have of them. You will be amazed at how good it makes them, and you feel, as your discover that they always thought the same of you. So if there is a sibling or friend you have left on the back burner of your life, then this could be a good time to call them.

Scorpio: Oct 24 Nov 22

Sometimes being away from where all the fun and action is going on can be a real pain in the proverbial, but you really do need to clear your decks and your desk. For, when you can finally operate from that level playing field you are creating with your abstinence from inappropriate behaviour – you will have more fun than the rest of them put together. Fun, after all, is a reward for deeds done, rather than an excuse for not doing them.

Sagittarius: Nov 23 Dec 21st

Goodbye is the hardest thing we ever say. It reflects in a single word everything we feel about the person to whom it is spoken. But is the farewell temporary, and the reunification therefore, imminent? Or is it instead permanent with all that that entails? Think about it, and make your farewells appropriate leave no word unspoken, or deed undone. For life need not be dotted with regrets of things we 'should' have done, or 'wished' we had done. For regrets are usually the most futile things we possess.

Capricorn: Dec 22 Jan 21

It is Summer and we need to get out as much as we can. Get out the old picnic basket and sit on the bank of a stream or river, and watch the white clouds float by against the brilliant blue of the sky. After all, so many of us have been shut away watching the rain fall over the last month or so that there is a danger of the summer will passing us by, becoming another vanished opportunity – like the fleeting flash of the colour of a butterfly gone before it can be appreciated. Life is too precious to waste a moment of it.

Aquarius: Jan 22 Feb 19th

There are about half a million words in the language we speak – and growing, as each day new words are created. But still and all, there are moments when there are not words enough truly to reflect that which we wish to impart – strange isn't it? And the feeling is that when you are unable to effectively speak your truths, it is best to just stop talking, smile, and become the truth you wished to speak – it will usually be sufficient. There is too much talk sometimes – just noise to fill the empty spaces.

Pisces: Feb 20 March 20

This is a week in which unconditional love is both given and received. Non judgemental attitudes need to be around for in these challenging times judging lives that we have never lived can seriously damage your state of mind. We just need to look at the tabloids to understand that one! Remember that very few of us really know the truth of a person, or a situation, until that time when the 'truth' is revealed – and even then it is wisest to take it with a pinch of salt!

Google AlertWhen a company which has it's European Headquarters here in Ireland is called 'evil' and 'immoral' by M.P.s in The House of Commons you tend to sit up and take notice. The particular company that was being referred to was Google and the reason it had enraged M.P.s in London was because even though it has a big operation there and conducts a lot of business there it pays no corporate tax. It does this by having all of its financial transactions finished here in Ireland. And the company here is …
