Mayor's Health Day at Waterford Regional Hospital

Wednesday, 9th May 2012

To celebrate the Mayor of Waterford's Health Day and the importance of looking after our hearts, the Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) will host an afternoon of art making and music in the main foyer of Waterford Regional Hospital on Thursday 10th May from 12 noon to 3pm.

WHAT's artist in residence Martin Fahy will create an installation of origami butterflies and invite passers by (staff, patients and visitors) to join him in creating their own butterfly. Martin will also invite people to share with him examples of when they learned something off by heart.

Musician Liam Merriman will perform a series of songs relating to the heart in the main foyer of the hospital from 1.30 to 2pm. We are looking for requests.
