In these recessionary times, more and more people are taking to having a few friends in for a meal with all the preparation being done by an expert. In other words, having cuisine similar to what you would get at a top class restaurant but in your own home with no baby- sitter costs and no drinking and driving worries. Just order your meals and, when you are collecting them, call at the off-licence for a few bottles of vino.
Given the desire to celebrate Valentine’s Day, Paula Prendiville, who has a great reputation for her culinary skills, has come up with a most appetising special three course menu which at €15 per head won’t break the bank. Of course, her website (cateringbypaula.ie) gives loads more options but many people are sure to be tempted by what she has on offer for the feast of St. Valentine which is on 14 February. The news that the Yes side in favour of the Fiscal Referendum have seized the momentum with the majority of Irish voters is just an indication of how the debate over this issue is beginning to shape up.
