CAO Change of Mind deadline

Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) has expanded its support offering for CAO applicants and their parents ahead of the CAO Change of Mind deadline at 5.15pm on Sunday, 1 July.

Registrar of WIT, and Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr Derek O'Byrne has urged people not to stress ahead of the deadline and to avail of supports that will help people choose a course that they will enjoy studying.

"Our ethos at WIT is to help students into the right courses for them and one of the ways we help support this apart from campus tours, school visits and open days and evenings, is taking the time to talk to people, to answer their questions, and to help them get their genuine order of preference right," says Dr O'Byrne.

"For the past number of years we have run a number of 'Ask WIT' events. Last year we added WhatsApp support to our online web chat, our two dedicated phone helplines, drop-in centre, and campus tours in the three days before 1 July. This year WIT will be providing support for one extra day." For 2018, dedicated Ask WIT events run on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday June (28-30). This year WIT is providing support on Sunday via WhatsApp messaging and web chat for any last minute questions.
