Osteoporosis is Treatable

Osteoporosis Clinic Ireland is a multidisciplinary clinic, providing a unique triple therapy approach, that has been developed to assist people with or predisposed to bone health issues. Osteoporosis is a silent disease affecting 1 in 2 women and 1 in 4 men over the age of 50 in Ireland, although all age groups can be affected.

Osteoporosis is preventable and treatable at all stages therefore it is important to address your bone health especially if it is hereditary. There are usually no warning signs an individual has developed osteoporosis and it's often only diagnosed when a bone is fractured.

10 Reasons why you should come to our Clinic

1. Osteoporosis has been called "the silent disease” because bone loss occurs initially without symptoms

2. We assist you to improve your bone health

3. Individual specific nutrition advice based on your symptoms

4. Weight bearing exercises to target the improvement of bone density

5. Bone density scanning to determine osteoporosis risk index

6. Supplements explained based on each client's needs

7. Testing available to identify individual requirements

8. DXA scan explained

9. Preventable measures addressed for those predisposed to osteoporosis eg. early menopause/ family history

10. Many conditions can be associated with the development of osteoporosis

During your consultation at our clinic: Karen Byrne, Registered General Nurse (RGN) will review and explain your DEXA scan and provide an ultrasound bone density scan to monitor your progress on an ongoing basis.

Titus Selveraj, Chartered Physiotherapist will assess you & give you specific exercises to improve your bone density, balance & posture, designed to fit in with your lifestyle and individual requirements.
