Waterford Scooter Club Christmas Party

Waterford Scooter Club will hold their Christmas Party Night on November 25th at Tracy's Hotel, The Quay, Waterford. With live music from Skazoo and DJs from Waterford Ska Club, entry is €5.00 and proceeds go to Pieta House.

We have numerous children's books for loan for extended periods of time. Library membership is FREE to all, so every child in your class has access to all our resources. We have a 'Block Loan' facility for teachers that enables you to take as many books as you wish for a prolonged period of time. Christmas Creative Writing Workshop for Kids in Tramore

Writer Derbhile Graham will be running a Christmas children's creative writing workshop at the Coastguard Cultural Centre on Saturday 2 December. The workshop is for 8-12 year olds and it will run for two hours, from 10.30am-12.30pm. Step by step, the children will write their very own story, solving the mystery of who stole Santa's treasure. Senior Line national confidential listening service

SeniorLine, the national confidential listening service for older people provided by trained older volunteers, has been shortlisted for the 2017 Community Impact Award organised by The Wheel.

SeniorLine with Freefone number 1800, 80 45 91 is open every day of the year from 10am-10pm. Of 10,000+ calls in 2016, 82% found the call 'useful' or 'helpful'. Success is based on an effective listening and empowering model.

The direct impact of SeniorLine is in the practical support offered to thousands of older people each year. The wider impact is becoming 'the voice of callers' , representing the needs and concerns of Ireland's older population, and advocating for them through media, presentations, and to government.

Remembrance service

The Paediatric, Neonatal and Maternity Units of University Hospital Waterford will hold a Remembrance Service for babies and children who have passed, on Sunday November 26th at 4pm in Christ Church Cathedral Waterford. All welcome.

Alzheimer Society Carer's Meeting

Are you caring for a spouse, parent or relative who has Dementia or Alzheimer's? If so, you might be interested in coming to meet other people who find themselves in a similar position.

The The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (Waterford City Branch) Carer's Club will have the next meeting on Wednesday November 29th from 7.30-9.00pm. This is the last meeting this year Next meeting will be in February 2018

Fenor Bingo

The next Fenor Bingo will take place on December 1st at Fenor National School. Bus leaves shop Riverstown at 7.15. Great night assured. Hope to see you all there.

Sale of Work; The Fenor Sale of Work takes place on Sunday 3rd December, commencing at 2pm at Fenor National School. Fenor Sale of Work will be a fun filled day, so come early to avoid disappointment and have a wonderful time. On the day we will have the Spinner with many fabulous prizes including Christmas Cakes, toys, hampers, and many other prizes. Add to these will be the Bric n Brac, games, raffles, face painting and refreshments all day. The Raffle will take place for the famous Fenor Hamper value at 1500 euros on the day of the Sale of Work. So keep Sunday 2nd December in your diary.

Irish Conversation - Tramore's Ciorcal Comhrá

Tramore's Ciorcal Comhrá (Irish conversation group) has established itself as a regular weekly fixture in Tramore Library and will meet again on Thursday, from 7pm to 8pm. The group is both enthusiastic and committed, while the atmosphere is very relaxed - so whether you would like to have a friendly chat 'as Gaeilge' or whether you prefer to listen, the Ciorcal is for you! There is a warm and genuine céad mile fáilte awaiting all of those who come along, at all ages and all levels. Additionally, it is saor in aisce! Medugorje Healing Mass

Medugorje Healing Mass will be held on Wednesday the 29th of November 2017 in The Blessed Sacrament Chapel, Mount Sion, Barrack street, Waterford, starting with the Rosary at 7:30pm followed by The Holy Mass.

Comeragh Mountaineering club

Pat Deegan will lead a moderate walk to Coumshingaun next sunday 26th November. BOOTS ESSENTIAL, hot drink and food, water, extra clothes, hat gloves, rain gear advised.     As dry as the SaharaIt seems that whenever the weather in Ireland goes a little bit extreme, we are somehow incapable of dealing with it. It has already happened so far this year with the snow that totally disrupted the country for about a week and also later on when some areas in the country were flooded due to excess rain.
