2018 is only around the corner and with it the usual New Year resolutions. One of the most common is to quit smoking, which is easier said than done, especially for those who opt to go 'cold turkey'. This may explain the huge rise of 'vaping' among smokers who are trying to cut down or quit completely.

As it happens, a Waterford company called Liquid Solutions is leading the way in the vaping industry and has just been awarded the I.S. EN ISO 9001:2015 for the manufacture of e-juice. The certification is a huge accolade for the company as it's only awarded to businesses who meet a very high standard of production.

Liquid Solutions was founded in 2011 by entrepreneur Killian McGrath. Not satisfied with the products on the market, Killian set about creating his own range of quality e-liquids, initially researching, refining and testing formulas at home and as the product gained trust with an approving customer base, Liquid Solutions was founded to bring these e-liquids to market at scale. The company now supplies over 1,000 retailers nationwide and employs 22 people.

The company has always focused on innovation. It became fully compliant with the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD), well before the 2016 deadline. It makes everything in Waterford and sources all its ingredients from registered suppliers in Ireland or Europe. It also arranges for every batch of its e-juice to be independently tested before bottling.

Commenting on the recent ISO achievement, George Piper, Operations Manager, Liquid Solutions, had this to say "We are delighted with the accreditation. It's a credit to all our staff for their hard work. Our customers trust us to produce 'best in class' products and this recognition confirms we manufacture to the highest standards."
