International street artist Kelsey Montague kickstarts Waterford Walls 2017

Interactive street artist and illustrator Kelsey Montague brings her unique street art movement #WhatLiftsYou to Waterford and Europe. Her artwork encourages people to reflect on what is truly important in their lives. Kelsey’s art has been featured by Taylor Swift, Vanessa Hudgens, Carly Rae Jepsen, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Mashable and MTV. Waterford Walls is delighted to include her in 2017’s star studded line up featuring Fintan Magee, Smug One, James Earley et all. Kelsey was so eager to paint with Waterford Walls that she is coming early to kickstart our 2017 programme with a bang. She promises to bring a splash of colour with her quirky style, and will be painting on June 28th and 29th on a Waterford street near you.

Kelsey has painted large-scale, interactive street murals in six countries on three continents. Each piece has provided an opportunity for thousands of people to become living works of art. Participants are invited to step into the artwork, explore what inspires them and post pictures on social media. Kelsey invites you to visit her during her tour Waterford before heading to UK, Spain, Netherlands, Poland and Sweden. Watch this coming August 17-20th as over 40 international street artists paint ar our festival, it’s promising to be an explosion of colour and creativity again on our city streets.
