Kitchens, milk cans and five in the bed!

Last week, I was admiring my friend's large kitchen extension and how beautiful it was. She said that her happiest kitchen memories went back to her childhood, in a small 12 foot square kitchen where her family would gather around the table, next to a glowing range. Many a song was sung, many a story told, and many a poem recited. She told me "Now I

Biblical perspectives for livin Identity Theft

One of the fastest growing forms of "white-collar crime" is identity theft. With so much of our personal information stored on line, it is possible for someone to access that information, steal your identity and commit crimes in your name.

Of course, this will only be effective if they attempt to use your identity in a place where you are not personally known, which is why so much of this type of crime happens electronically rather than face to face.

As serious as this issue is, my real concern here is that God's identity has been compromised and much damage has resulted. This crime has been possible because people don't know Him, so over the next few articles I would like to consider God's identity from the documents that He provided us with, the Holy Scriptures.

  • Waiting can be bad for your He...

When the latest statistic that waiting times for patients had risen to their highest level yet, there can't have been too many people that were surprised. There are now over 700.000 people on waiting lists with over 50.000 of them children. That so many people are waiting for treatment in one of the most developed economies in the world is truly frightening. Of course you can take into account the underfunding of the health sector during the economic downturn but it still wouldn't fully explain why so ma …
