Now in its 7th year, INDIEPENDENCE returns to its very cool 52 acre, tree-lined site in the shadow of the Galtee mountains in Mitchelstown on Bank Holiday weekend, 3rd to 5th August. The festival has built a reputation as the friendliest annual meeting place for Ireland's indie kids and for 2012 the line-up has moved up another notch with international acts like Feeder, Maverick Sabre, 2manydjs, British Sea Power and Beardyman joining the cream of Irish music talent over 3 days and multiple stages. The homegrown talent includes everyone you would want to see from The Coronas, Royseven, Delorentos, Japanese Popstars, Jape, Bressie and The Minutes to new talent like We Cut Corners, This Club, Bitches With Wolves and The Kanyu Tree. Indiependence has always attracted a strong audience from Waterford and this year should be no different with Deise talent like King Kong Company, Torann Drums and Kodakid on the bill. Weekend tickets both camping (€99) and non-camping (€79) are on sale now at the http://www.tktswaterford.com outlet at Next Door (Forum Waterford) or by calling 051 871111.
