American piano virtuoso David Syme, now resident in Ireland, has had a long and colourful career. Since arriving in Ireland in 2005 he has been steadily forging a reputation as one of the finest pianists to grace these shores. He is best known for his "Living-Room Concerts", held about 25 times a year in his West Cork home on the Beara Peninsula.
He has performed in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Wigmore Hall and many major European cities. Saturday 7th July at 12 noon. Tickets €7 / €5 concession. Children U14 free

Google AlertWhen a company which has it's European Headquarters here in Ireland is called 'evil' and 'immoral' by M.P.s in The House of Commons you tend to sit up and take notice. The particular company that was being referred to was Google and the reason it had enraged M.P.s in London was because even though it has a big operation there and conducts a lot of business there it pays no corporate tax.
