Green Light For Waterford Massed Band Charity Concert 2012
Wednesday, 6th June 2012
All roads lead to The Sacred Heart Church The Folly this Friday June 8th at 8pm for what promises to be one of the musical highlights of the year. The Barrack St Concert Band, City Of Waterford Brass, The De La Salle Scout Pipe Band, The Thomas Francis Meagher fife and drum Band and The Waterford String Ensemble will bond as a Massed Band and if that was not enough Richie Hayes from The Voice Of Ireland, International Soprano Donna Roche and from St Ursula's School, a one hundred piece choir that will lift us all when they sing with Richie Hayes. The event will also see Mr Steve Walsh M,B,E Producer of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo take his seat as guest of honour that shows how much he admires this concert as he was guest of honour in 2010. Ticket prices have been kept at a minimum of ten euro and such initiative has paid dividends with huge interest in this premier event. The Massed Band Team appeal to lovers of music to support, with three very worthy charities receiving help in the make up of Searching For The Missing, The Jonah Project who help kids with Autism and The Parkinson Association of Ireland South East Branch. It is certainly worth buying a ticket even if you are unable to attend.
