Friday 1st June kicks off Shortt's birthday celebrations with legends the butterfly band.
The Butterfly Band emerged on the Waterford live music scene in 1995 out of the ashes of another much loved local band, THE MADRIGAL, as a 5 piece they toured many an Irish bar throughout Europe visiting everywhere from Innsbruck to Reykjavik . At the beginning of the new millennium the lads turned professional and were in great demand at music festivals at home and abroad. The band then expanded to a 7 piece in 2003 their live shows have become a thing of legend covering all bases from mod to rock and psychedelic. 16 years on the boys are still rocking.
These guys have inspired a generation with their musical talent, band will be on stage at 11pm, as always they will draw a crowd so arrive early to make sure you bag yourself a good spot.
