We get going on our 4 nights of music with some trad and folk with a hint of soul from the boyos Kev and Lorcan, two well know and accomplished musicians. All other players more then welcome. 9 pm start.
Thursday's singer songwriter competition could have easily been a final with In the Willows soul airs battling it out against the driving rhythm of Shane Elliott & Elaine Colclough. Both class acts - 10pm first chord.
On Friday and Saturday we bring you battle of the bands action. Friday nights we have local hard rock outfit Nihilism Soundgarden meets Skynard meets Stonesour - not bad mix. Hailing from New Ross The Rusty Fixutres have played all over the country and have been received very well by all. Nice harmonies and steady back line wont make them a pushover on the night.
On Saturday we have a cracker for you Crowblack Chicken versus Elavator. Crowblack are no strangers to winning battle of the bands competitions having secured a slot in Glastonbury last year. Winner a national event, their driving blues rock is infectious. Their opponents Elavator are a hard working Dublin band. Tidy 3 piece with a lot of talent. Should be a 'gudden' they will play out of their skins like they always do, to get to the big prize in the final. 10pm start. We can't wait for this one! See you there music lovers.
