Get Down With Smash Hits!

Wednesday, 16th May 2012

Ireland's best party band, SMASH HITS, and Waterford's GET DOWN DJs proved to be the perfect party combination, playing to a sold out Forum Venue on Easter Sunday. It was so good that The Forum has booked the same line-up for their next Bank Holiday Party on Sunday 3rd June. Doors on the night are at 11pm and admission is ?10, pay on the door.

With SMASH HITS you are always guaranteed a fun-filled, high energy night of 90s club classics performed live. Featuring dance, pop and R'n'B chart smashes from Technotronic, N-Trance, Culture Beat, Dr. Alban, MC Hammer, Snap, C+C Music Factory, Vanilla Ice and many more, they are a throwback to the FEELGOOD time of old skool DJs, all night raves and packed out dancefloors.

GET DOWN DJs Daz & Martin are beginning to get an international reputation for their fab disco/funk/soul remixes and re-edits, leading to 2012 bookings at the Disco Deviance night in London and the Electric Elephant festival in Croatia. What marks them out as DJs is an anything goes music policy of funk, soul, disco & classic electronic music, mixed in a house party style. Last summer the best of their edits made it to vinyl as "Get Down Edits Vol 1", which sold out in all the major UK stores and the digital release remained in Juno downloads Top 10 for two months.
