Best Foot Forward All Set To Triumph At Garter Lane

On Tuesday 8th May @ 2pm & 8pm €5.00

This daring new Dance and Theatre Production featuring a cast of thirty local actors, singers dancers and musicians aged 16 to 87 is certain to wow audiences of all ages at Garter Lane. Set in a 'Dancehall', the universal home of romance, dreams, fantasy and heartbreak the production illuminates moments in the lives of a variety of characters from the past and the present. Bursting with energy, this original, fabulous, full frontal production is a toe-tapping two-step through time, delivering Hucklebuck, pizzazz and Hip-hop zing. It explores with sensitivity and humour the points of connection between the generations and the virtual and real worlds inhabited by both.

Directed, choreographed and led by Libby Seward (Arts Council Dance Artist in Residence at Garter Lane) assisted by Dance Artist Lisa Cahill and Artistic Consultant Ashlea Cox from South Africa, the production features an evocative script by local playwright and actor Denise Quinn. Local film-maker John Loftus employs the mystique of the silver screen to create world's past, present and future that will entrance and delight.

With two performances only, matinee and evening on the 8th May, you are advised to book now. With tickets a very modest €5 (to include tea and cake!) this is definitely one not to miss! Book at Garter Lane Box Office 051 855038 or http://www.garterlane.ie
