waterfordfilmforall and Garter Lane Arts Centre presents Melancholia (15A)

In this beautiful movie about the end of the world, Justine (Kirsten Dunst) and Michael (Alexander Skarsgård) are celebrating their marriage at a sumptuous party in the home of her sister Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg), and brother-in-law John (Kiefer Sutherland). Despite Claire’s best efforts, the wedding is a fiasco, with family tensions mounting and relationships fraying. Meanwhile, a planet called Melancholia is heading directly towards Earth. Melancholia’s take on the end of the world is a unique cinematic experience anchored by an award winning performance from Kirsten Dunst.

Melancholia will be screened in Garter Lane Arts Centre on Sunday, February 5th at 7pm. Admission is €7.50 and €6.00 concession and tickets are available in advance from Garter Lane Box Office (051-855038) and http://www.garterlane.ie
