Green Room" launch HUGE success for Gary Power Productions
Last Friday night The Mojo Lounge beside Revolution on John Street held the official launch of Gary Power Productions European Premier of "The Green Room". People turning up in their droves were greeted by the best of show music before the live entertainment began. Originally being held at Harveys Nightclub, Gary received some bad news early in the day and had to move the whole event to The Mojo Lounge courtesy of Jim 'Flash' Gordon. The night was a HUGE success with live entertainment right throughout the night provided by singer Trina O' Reilly (pictured) who really got the audience going before Trad group starring Rebecca McCarthy took to the stage blowing the audience away with her version of "Riverdance" played solely on violin accompanied by two pro Irish dancers Rosie & Paul who travels professionally with 'Rhythm Of The Dance'. Chris Doran then tore the house down with his version of Colin Raye's - Love Me & You Raise Me Up before officially launch "The Green Room".
With the cast rehearsing weeks on end just to have the same professionalism as it should be in the show for this event they blew the audience away. Ursula Hauck & Bridget Nolan playing the parts of Anna Kearns and Divonne Bruder both opened the preview of "The Green Room" by previewing the opening number from the show "In The Green Room". They were then joined by fellow cast members Glenn Murphy & Mark Rellis playing the parts of John Radford and Cliff Kearns previewing Act 1 finale "In the End". The buzz after the cast preview was just phenomenal Gary had people coming up to him promising they would get their tickets ASAP.Never have I seen such a buzz for a show in all my life. Writers Chuck Pelletier and C.Stephen Foster are traveling all the way over from LA especially to see this European Premier, the cast really do have their work cut out for them. The cast have now started production rehearsals with only 5 weeks to opening night. TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE at Garter lane Theatre on (051-855038) or http://www.garterlane.ie. The news that the Yes side in favour of the Fiscal Referendum have seized the momentum with the majority of Irish voters is just an indication of how the debate over this issue is beginning to shape up. That Declan Ganly has weighed in on the side of the No vote also shows that there is still a lot to play for until the Irish electorate give the final decision later on this month. The Government parties as well as the main opposition party, Fianna Fail, are in favour of the Yes vote but so far little has reall …
