Waterford Hosts First Texaco Art Winners' Exhibition

The first exhibition of winning art works from this year's 57th Texaco Children's Art Competition takes place in Christ Church Cathedral, Waterford until Thursday next, 19th May. Admission is free and the Cathedral is open Monday – Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 10 am - 4pm.

Among the paintings on display will be works by the eight Waterford winners who took top prizes in the event.

These include a work entitled ‘Florence' by Dónal Ó'Cionnfhaolaidh from De La Salle College which won third prize in the 14-15 years age category and another third prize winner entitled ‘Robins in the Snow' by Thomas Sullivan from Waterpark College.

Other Waterford winners whose works will feature are Eimear Kinsella from Abbey Community College, Ferrybank; Lianne Shanley from Meanscoil san Níochlás, Dungarbhán; Aoife Hamilton from Scoil Náisiúnta Bhaile Mhic Airt, Dungarbhán; Valdrin Fazliu from Waterpark College; Sara-Jane Smith and Paul Mulcahy, both from St. John's Special School, Dungarvan.
