Jean-Pierre Werner (François Cluzet) is a doctor in rural France revered by his community and devoted to helping his patients at all times of the day, seven days a week. But when he is diagnosed with a serious illness, city doctor Nathalie (Marianne Denicourt) comes into town to assist. As Nathalie tries to adapt to country life, Jean-Pierre must come to accept that he may not be 'irreplaceable' after all. Their shared love of medicine allows them to work past their initial animosities. Soon enough they grow to admire one another, and perhaps more... Irreplaceable is the ideal tonic for the January blues and can be seen in Garter Lane Arts Centre on Tuesday 23rd at 7.30pm.
