The 2018 Spring Season Brochure is now available at Theatre Royal Box Office and we are delighted to say that it is packed with a variety of fantastic events - something to suit all tastes.

The 2018 Spring Season at the Theatre Royal features some welcome returns as well as superb theatre, music, comedy and family events.

Theatre Lovers can look forward to The Woman Is Present by Smashing Times Theatre Company (February), The Sleeping Beauty by Royal Moscow Ballet (March), Verdant & Pemberley Productions present Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo (March), Jerusalem Tomorrow – A Mystery Play (March), Mother (and me) presented by Geva Theatre Center, New York (April), Rise Production presents The Good Father (April), and CAT (The Play) A dark comedy by Richard Hardwick & Jamie Beamish (May).

Magical Mozart by Candlelight with beautiful settings, costumes, lighting and of course candles, the European baroque ensemble and world class opera singers transport you back to the 18th Century past (Wednesday 7th February)

The Theatre Royal is delighted to welcome back Waterford Musical Society with the popular Fiddler on the Roof (2-5 May).

Music lovers can look forward to The High Kings (11th January), Charlie Landsborough (26th January) the return of local music talent David Flynn (2nd May).

The music of Bob Dylan, Luke Kelly, Johnny Cash and John Denver will feature as well as live performances from Mick Flannery (17th March) and we are delighted to welcome Christy Moore (Solo) on Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th March for what promises to be a very intimate and enjoyable gig.

Foil, Arms & Hog, Pat Shortt, The Nualas, Dirtbirds Live, Tommy Tiernan and the hilarious Rubberbandits are some of the comedy names to visit this spring while families can look forward to the colourful Little Red Riding Hood (Sunday 15th April) , Dr Dolittle by Riverbank Productions(Sunday 22nd April) and Donal Vaughan is back with the very popular show Science Magic (Sunday 20th May)

Following on from the hugely successful events in 2017, the theatre is also looking forward to welcoming back the SOLAS – Dance for Life 2018 & FOCUS Ireland raising necessary funds for each worthy charity.
