If you like comedy panel shows then this hybrid programme will definitely be up your street as it takes one of the most conservative game shows out there, Countdown, and completely turns it on it's head.

This festive edition saw the usual array of guests such as Katherine Tate and Joe Wilkinson join the team captains causing mayhem all under the stewardship of Jimmy Carr who hosts the show.

The actual game part of the programme is the least interesting part of the show as it is the freewheeling of the panelists that is the most interesting aspect of the show. Sometimes the jokes are hit and miss and sometimes the jokes that go between the people on the panels seem a bit too insular to be truly funny but the majority of the gags do hit home and overall this is a funny show to watch.
