Irish Youth Music Awards 2011

Wednesday, 9th March 2011

Are you aged 12 – 19?

Are you a young ambitious musician or songwriter?

Do you just want to play or do you want a real life experience?

If this sounds like you or someone you know, we're looking for young musicians from Waterford gasping for their shining moment in front of the spot light. We're also looking for young people to take part in the support team in areas like Promotions, Sound Engineering

and Fund-raising. Everybody has a part because every star shines with the support of a winning team behind them!

The Manor Street Youth Project is putting together a team of local young people to represent Waterford in the IYMA's 2011. This is a nationwide music based programme, where groups from different counties send forward an act and support team to represent their county in Liberty Hall, Dublin with the chance of winning the opportunity of recording an album for all their local acts. As well as this great prize, it gives young people a chance to work in a fun innovative programme and learn how the music industry works.

The group will be holding a Live Selection Night in Cafe Loco, Manor Street on 11th March 2011. All are welcome. If you are interested in getting involved in this programme or other programmes run by The Manor Street Youth Project, please don't hesitate in contacting Mary on 086-6018961.
