Cut Price Comedy @ The Lounge
The Laughter Lounge has provided many a great night out at The Forum Lounge over the last couple of years, and there are 2 new developments to tell you about for 2011. First up there is a great reduced price offer for the January show on Saturday, 29th January (doors 8.30pm). For just €10 admission (pay on the door), you can catch 2 top Laughter Lounge comedians, Colm O'Regan (right) and Gar Murran (left), followed by the fantastic live Beatles Tribute by Lebowski and friends, which proved to be one of the most popular nights out at the Forum Lounge in 2010. Then on the last Saturday of each month (commencing 26th Feb), the Forum Lounge launches Waterford's "BIG NIGHT OUT", which combines 2 Laughter Lounge Comedians, a roast dinner (provided by Mary Grimes), the Beatles Live Tribute and DJ, all for the incredible price of just €25 for 5 hours of quality entertainment and a Saturday night meal out! He has played all the important festivals – Edinburgh, Kilkenny, and the prestigious "invite only" Montreal Just for Laughs. He has played all over Ireland and the UK and even as far away as Tokyo and Osaka…well he was passing so dropped in. He is also a regular at the Laughter Lounge in Dublin who describe him as having a "PhD in stand up comedy!" Colm's TV and radio credits include the Paramount Comedy Channel (World Stands Up), RTE 2's Just for Laughs, and The Lucy Kennedy Show as well as writing for and featuring on RTE Radio 1 and Newstalk.
Gar Murran won the Bulmers Comedy Competition in 2006 held in Dublin, and as a result he got to play for two nights in the Olympia Theatre to over a thousand people. He has since performed in The Laughter Lounge ( Dublin & Belfast), The International Bar, Comedy Cellar, Capital Comedy Club, (Battle of the Axe) Ha'Penny Bridge Inn, Dublin among others & The Roisin Dubh, The Cuba Club, DeBurgo's in Galway & the Hyena Comedy Club, Newcastle and The Stand, Glasgow.
