Another HUGE weekend coming up for Waterford with Derek & the lads taking on the Rebels. The BIG screens will be out in the Apple Market for the match and hopefully we will be celebrating a famous victory with the Unusual Suspects on Sunday night. The full line up for the weekend ahead is as follows:

FRIDAY – RUFFUS + GROOVE DJs

Ruffus are a Dublin/Deise 3 piece rock covers band with a great setlist and who always provide a full-on gig experience. Out on the Terrace it’s all about getting into your Friday night Groove with Jay Ru & guests.

SATURDAY – THE RENEGADES + DJ MARSHAL + GOOD TIMES DJS

It’s Waterford’s biggest night out, so don’t miss ‘AAA’ with 3 rooms of top quality entertainment up through the Shortt’s alley entrance. Project resident DJ Marshal & friends will be playing the best of commercial house music upstairs with full club layout and banging sound & lights set up. The Good Times crew will be doing their disco & funk thang on the Terrace and The Renegades are back live in Shortts, with their 2 hour set of brilliant uplifting versions of alternative rock & pop classics. All this great entertainment plus 2 spacious heated smoking areas are under the one roof at 10 John Street so come on down and be part of Waterford’s BIGGEST party this Saturday, doors 11pm.

SUNDAY – UNUSUAL SUSPECTS + SOCIAL DJS

Hopefully we will be celebrating a famous Waterford victory over Cork at the Shortts Sunday Session this week. And there’s only one band you would want to be doing that with, The Unusual Suspects, and their brilliant set of party pop, rock and dance tracks. The Social on the Terrace will see out the weekend with another great mix of disco, funk, house and hip-hop and Monday can take care of itself !

    School CostsAlthough we are still just at the start of August many parents will already be figuring out exactly how much they will have to hand over for their children to go back to school. The children's charity Barnardo's have just compiled a report saying that for a primary school child the figure will hit nearly 400 euro while a secondary school child will have to have roughly 750 euro paid out to ensure that they have everything that they need.
