Great fun night outs are in order for the rest of 2012 in the Theatre Royal with over 50 different shows on offer. First up is The Original Rude Boys on Saturday 8th and Creedance Clearwater Revived on Sunday 9th.
Both Calendar Girls and Phantom and The Musicals bring the best of the West End to Waterford.
Comedy comes to Waterford with Ardal O'Hanlon and Neil Delamere. The return of All Star Wars is almost sold out. For the first time The Alan Kelly Gang and Eddie Reader and The Legend of Luke Kelly are here and we are delighted to welcome Brendan Bowyer to the theatre stage. An Evening with Richie Hayes, Jack L and Tommy Fleming will add to the music line up along with Waterford's Barrack Street Concert Band.

GYPSI SWING play Jazz at Christ Church Cathedral Friday 7th September at 8.00pm
Gypsi Swing, comprising six very talented musicians, combine acoustic guitars, violin and double bass to create an infectious groove. Their up-tempo and dynamic sound is based on various musical styles encapsulated by the gypsy-sound inspired by Django Reinhardt's Jazz Manouche style with a modern twist. When the group launched their album Debut Swing to a capacity crowd at the Theatre Royal their vibrant energetic performance earned a standing ovation.
Their versatile repertoire is encapsulated by their own interpretative style, and includes arrangements of popular tunes together with some of their own original compositions. Gypsi Swing are receiving increasing airplay and coverage from local and national media. The group will give you a musical journey with a twist
Red Kettle Play Inbristol, Waterford And Dublin

Following the incredible success of Red Kettle's production of Rose in South Africa last year and the recent run at the Viking theatre in Dublin the company will now open the play at the Tobacco Factory Theatre in Bristol for a week's run.
"There's been great interest in the play and the production" says Director Ben Hennessy, "with Fiona (York) getting absolutely amazing reviews for her performance – one reviewer picking the play as the gem of 350 different shows at the Grahamstown Festival in South Africa – and we're delighted to be bringing the show to Bristol. We hope to take it into London at some stage and there's interest from theatres in Johannesburg and Capetown for the end of next year – and I'd definitely like to get another run here at home in Waterford..."

The Quiet Heart exhibition at Waterford Regional Hospital

The Quiet Heart is an exhibition of artworks by Martin Fahy Artist-in-Residence with the Waterford Healing Arts Trust on display in Waterford Regional Hospital and the WHAT Centre for Arts & Health. The exhibition will be launched on Thursday, 13th September at 5.30pm by writer Grace Wells. The exhibition is on view until the 2nd November.
The Waterford Healing Arts Trust has been running an Artist in Residence programme since 1994.
Visual Artists are given a studio space for a period of six months during which time they create a new body of work for exhibition in the hospital. The acute hospital is an immense resource for developing a body of artistic work and the residency programme enables artists to creatively respond to the hospital culture.

Saturday 1st September, in conjunction with Arthur's Day will see the return to Heffernans Bar, Kilcohan, Waterford's very own and Ireland's No.1 tribute band to Bruce Springsteen, The SPRINGSTEENS.
The Springsteens have built up an incredible following from all over the country for their renowned live shows, so much so that they were invited to play to 1200 Springsteen fans in Dublin just days before the 'Man' himself played in the RDS.
2 months ago their first gig in Nothern Ireland sold out.
Monsters Of Rock Present - Black Sabbath Versus Ac/Dc

Monsters Of Rock returns to The Forum this Saturday, 1 September, with a double bill of live tributes to the 2 biggest metal bands of all time, Black Sabbath, left (Black As Sabbath) and AC/DC (Whole Lotta Voltage).
Doors are at 10.30pm with Black As Sabbath taking to the stage first at 11pm for a 90 minute set of Ozzy era classics, followed by Whole Lotta Voltage who will play a 90 minute set of Bon Scott era AC/DC below.

The Stone Roses Live In Blackpool '89
Rock N Roll Cinema returns to The Forum on Saturday, 8 September, to celebrate the brilliant 2012 re-union of one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time, The Stone Roses.
Once again it's a FREE admission event with all drinks at pub prices and loads going on for fans of Ian, Reni, Mani & John.
