Hashtag theatre company, are close to opening for their first production of 2013. Rehearsals are currently in full swing of rehearsal to bring you, our audience an emotional yet joyous play. 'Blood Brothers' is, at first, a heart-warming story of Mickey and Edward, two brothers separated at birth, brought together again through friendship. However, their relationship is concealed by their guardians who strive to keep them apart because of superstitious beliefs. Despite relocating, their lives continue to intertwine. Edward goes on to study at Oxford whilst Mickey is forced into a life of crime through unemployment. As adults, they are caught up in a vicious love triangle with Mickey's childhood sweetheart Linda. Mickey's imprisonment and subsequent depression pushes Linda into the arms of the conciliatory Edward.

Beating Berlusconi!, a one-man comedy show covering forty characters and Liverpool's famous defeat of AC Milan, visits Theatre Royal for its first ever show in Waterford on Friday May 3rd.

Despite threats from his wife and bank manager, in May 2005 Irish Scouser Kenny Noonan travels to Istanbul to watch Liverpool play AC Milan in the Champions' League Final.

Based on the true story of Mark Radley, a cobbler from Liverpool, Noonan found his way past security into the AC Milan directors' box to watch his team, as he thought, continue to lose miserably to the Italians. The programme for the concert is constructed on the theme of Soldiers and Pirates. Military matters are regularly topics for cinema. However long before cinema, real life events were often remembered in the music of the masters.

The Hunt is a disturbing depiction of how a lie becomes the truth when gossip, doubt and malice are allowed to flourish and ignite a witch-hunt that soon threatens to destroy an innocent man's life.

Mads Mikkelsen plays Lucas, a highly-regarded school teacher who has been forced to start over having overcome a tough divorce. Just as things are starting to go his way, his life is shattered. An untruthful remark throws the small community into a collective state of hysteria. The lie is spreading and Lucas is forced to fight a lonely fight for his life and dignity.

The Hunt will screen in Garter Lane Arts Centre on Sunday, April 7th, at 8pm.

    Even though the weather Gods didn’t exactly play ball over the weekend it doesn’t take away from the fact that this years Waterford Harvest Festival was yet again another wonderful success. It was great to see the streets of the centre of the city so beautifully and thoughtfully decked out. The various food stalls offering tastes from all over were great to wander around.
