Trying to make a tv series out of a character that has been depicted in four films already seems like a big ask and especially seeing as the character seems to have been definitely played by an actor who has won an Oscar for the role. But now we do have a series about the cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter and on his first outing it seems as if he is going to be an interesting character to watch over the coming weeks. As for the other main characters in this programme well that is another matter entirely. In this show the character of Will Graham, the one who finally works out what sort of person Lecter is, is played by Hugh Dancy and most of the first programme was given over to his character and his very many tics and

Having starred in The American Office, where she was also a writer, Mindy Kaling comes with a good comedy pedigree as regards her own first solo project. She stars as a thirty something in Manhattan who works in a medical practise as a doctor. She seems to have it all but because she lives in a strange fantasy land most of the time she seems to always be unhappy. She thinks that she should be living some sort of romcom lifestyle which is in itself ridiculous and she can never quite figure out why her life doesn't go to plan when she has such an unrealistic role for it in the first place. She keeps thinking she is Sandra Bullock and even when she is invited into the VIP section of a club by some NBA stars she sits there

Even across the pond it seems that most people can't get enough of watching the gypsy way of life and especially their weddings. But over there there are very different ways that gypsies celebrate their nuptials. There are romanichial weddings, roma, romany, british and traveller ways and they all have elements that are very distinct from each other. One thing that isn't so different are the dresses which are as outlandish and covered in rhinestones as you might expect. Another main difference is that the weddings seem much more subdued affairs then they are over here. An interesting case of compare and contrast but you're not missing much if you don't watch the show.

Celtic BounceThat our economy has steadily been getting better in the last number of years is something that won't be lost on most people. In fact things were so bad for so long at one period that there was no other way but up. Things are getting better but the questions have to be how much better and for whom? That there has been a bounce in our economy was witnessed by the better than average trading figures for the Christmas and New Year period. People did have more money to spend and they went ahe …
